In short, yes it is possible for a tornaments to happen in Multiverse. The main contest makers for the Besiege Community is AvarethTaika founded in the Besiege SubReddit.īesiege is almost purely community-driven and hosting a contest would something of what would people in the community do. Plus with an additional Multiplayer, it would be awesomeĭifferent people want to host different types of tournements with different rules. Because you can create your own level and publish it thru the Workshop, the amount of potential with an additional feature listed in the Devblog is pretty limit-less. The team of the developer for Besiege is quite small, I've bet it's less than 10 members, all of which are a private developer if you take my assumtions As the Devblog said, it is said to be released in around Q1 of the next year. Yes, I also doubt that it would not be released in this year and they developer are really going to take some time to polish it off. They've done a pretty great progress if you ask me. Simply sharing what's in the Multiverse right now will kill the hype. They want the Multiverse to be some sort of suprise and a way to hold all the hype we have stored for the Multiverse. Other than the stuff in the Devblog, the developer is very secretive about it. It has plenty of goody stuff the devs has shown to us Check the Devblog at the steam news section. *if any, will there be a public alpha for it (given an alpha is a beta test of a beta game) *will we be able to model terrain in a follow-up update? *how do you invite people? it might get in the way of things ^ *how safe will it be to host public matches? will mods potentially leave hosts at risk of cyber attacks from unsafe mods? *will it be possible to hold ranked tournements, and if so, what would the requirements be for an 8 man match? (with simplistic machines under 150 blocks). *how limited/unlimited will it be in terms of advanced features: can i potentially build a game inside or is this pureley adding simple castle breaking. *when is a REALISTIC date for release, wether it be Q1/Q2 of next year, given i doubt its going to be this year. *what it actually has in it, since nobody seems to know. What im asking for is an explaination as to why its so late with little to no information as to what it covers, given i havnt gained much specific information from the blogs, other than a few shiny pictures and snippets. Since mid september i have lost more than half of my followers and almost all of my viewers, with my follow count going from just shy of 330 at its peak down to 165 today, i never get anyone watch and all they bring is more anger and hate, apparently i am to blame for the game being late. When multiverse was released i planned a large swathe of content which would last 6-12 months streaming 2-3 times a week for 2 hours, i made the dreaded mistake of sharing the "release date" (which was the origional mid september date) with my follwers, from the day it was meant to be released onwards i have lost viewers and gathered an increasing ammount of hate on my streams and videos to the point now where i am having to ask whether or not to delete it and start again. Thank you for your patience while the mod loader is being updated.Id hate to be quite short, but being blunt is seemingly the only way to get answers If you also want support for the Steam workshop in your v0.45 installation, place this steam_appid.txt file in the Besiege directory, next to Besiege.exe.If you want to, you can also add v0.45 into your Steam library (as a non-Steam game) so you can easily launch either one from Steam. You can install any mods you need back into the v0.45 install. You now have both v0.45 and v0.60 installed. In Steam, deselect the previousbuild branch again and let Steam redownload the current version of the game. After Steam downloads the game again, make a copy of the Besiege directory in your Steam library ( steamapps/common/Besiege).In Steam, right-click Besiege, select Properties and go to the Beta tab.Otherwise, there is a workaround for those who can't live without their mods: Do not expect these mods to always work correctly in multiplayer. If you are fine with a limited selection of mods, ITR's PostPlace, NoBounds and ColliderDisplay as well as Lench's EasyScale mods are available in a "discount" form that may be limited in features but works in v0.60. The game internals changed a lot with the update and it's not possible right now to give a timeframe for when the mod loader will be updated. The mod loader does not currently support Besiege v0.60 (aka the Multiverse update).
